Fitspiration Ultimate Running Playlist

It’s been a while since I wrote a post in my Fitspiration series, but with my first 10k run fast-approaching, I’ve been back in the saddle (or sports bra) to prepare myself for this huge challenge. I can’t believe I have been blogging for over 6 months and have never mentioned anything to do with my taste in music- I love music, and it is a huge part of my life- and it’s time to share my (slightly very eclectic) playlist with the world. I physically cannot run without music- even when I’m running with someone, talking is just not the one when hurling your sweaty self around. It has to be motivational, and keep me running when I feel like giving up, so without further ado I present my ultimate running playlist! View Full Post

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love food. The same applies to cocktails, and music. Particularly live music. Can you see where I’m going with this? Yep, myself and four other bloggers were invited to an evening consisting of all of the above at the outstanding The Botanist bar and restaurant in Leeds.* It was my first visit, despite wanting to go and hearing fabulous things since it opened, and needless to say I was not disappointed…

Hello lovelies!

This is a very exciting day, as not only do I get to introduce you to an awesome new food product that I know you’ll love, but I am hosting my first ever giveaway- yay! I realised today that I have only been properly blogging for 4 months, but it feels like so much longer. I started EMMABYDESIGN in October, but only wrote a handful of posts until January, when I started posting regularly. This came to mind because so many of my other blogger friends are reaching their 6 month or year marks as bloggers, and I still feel like such a newbie!

Anyway, we’re talking about another kind of birthday today. It was my brother’s 28th birthday yesterday, and we all went out for a meal to the Yorkshire Meatball Co. in Harrogate- if you’re ever in the area you must visit for the best meatballs you’ve ever had! I was approached by Baker Days to review one of their letterbox cakes* and of course I jumped at the chance, but I was totally selfless and ordered it for my brother to have, rather than for me and George to scoff, aren’t I just a saint?

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all enjoying this lovely Spring weather (if you’re in the UK, anyway!) I know it puts me in the mood to eat better and be more active, although it takes me a while to get used to it! There’s always that one definitive day when the warmer weather officially begins, and I’m never prepared for it, so when it happens I lunge for the first thing I can find that isn’t made of thick wool and realise there is no going back- those jumpers are not coming out until Autumn, whether it goes cold again or not- I am determined!

Today, I wanted to share my thoughts on the convenient range from breakfast gurus MOMA!* I’ve started eating breakfast when I get to work, as I’m never very hungry when I get up in the morning, so these are perfect for those on the go or for keeping at your desk.

Hello lovelies and Happy belated Easter!

I hope you had a great time over the Bank Holiday weekend, whether you were celebrating or not. It was a much-needed break for me as I am still tired a lot from work despite leaving my waitressing job- being an adult is hard! I have the utmost sympathy if you had to work over the Easter period- believe me, I’ve been there many times. The unexpected beautiful weather was a massive bonus, and I was the first to grab the sunnies and get my legs out! I took a lot of photos over my 4 days off, so I thought I’d share them with you!
