With Easter just around the corner, I have the not so difficult task of deciding what I would like. I know not everyone does gifts, and will just opt for the usual Easter egg or bypass the event altogether, but I always get a little gift from my mum and dad and from my grandma. I love chocolate as much as the next girl, but I never get round to finishing an Easter egg if someone buys me one, so a few years ago we decided it was better to get a gift that would last, but to the similar value of a chocolate egg.
So, whether you’re looking for Easter gift ideas for someone in your family, thinking what you can ask for yourself, or just feel like treating a friend without breaking the bank- here’s my little wish list! View Full Post
Hello everyone- it’s Friday!
Hope you’ve all got that Friday feeling and are looking forward to the weekend, whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day or not. I will be celebrating with George in our own little way- cooking an M&S Dine In (yum) and then heading out for a few cocktails afterwards if we feel like it! But I know Valentine’s Day isn’t for everyone, and it is after all a bit of a non-holiday as you should be sharing the love with everyone who matters to you every day of the year!
So, last week I started my new Friday series ‘Lunchtime Budget Beauty Hauls.’ Well, I have had a slight rethink, and thought: why should I limit myself to just beauty? I want pretty home things/jewellery/stationery too! So from now on, the series will simply be the ‘Lunchtime Budget Haul’ series. This is where I take £5 out with me on my lunch break, and spend it on whatever I fancy that day. View Full Post
Brrr… it’s cold outside! And it’s snowing in wonderful Harrogate today, oh joy! I am not a fan of the snow for practical reasons, but it does look very beautiful when you wake up to a fresh blanket outside your window. It just annoys me how everything comes to a stand-still, all because people aren’t prepared for the slightest sprinkling of snow! I say: get your wellies on, get the parka out, stick some gloves on and go brave it! I know driving in more remote areas can’t be easy, but there’s standstill traffic on perfectly clear roads because people decide now is the time to forget how to drive. Well, that’s my rant over, and now onto how I’m keeping warm and snuggly not just today, but for the whole of the winter :) View Full Post
