With Easter just around the corner, I have the not so difficult task of deciding what I would like. I know not everyone does gifts, and will just opt for the usual Easter egg or bypass the event altogether, but I always get a little gift from my mum and dad and from my grandma. I love chocolate as much as the next girl, but I never get round to finishing an Easter egg if someone buys me one, so a few years ago we decided it was better to get a gift that would last, but to the similar value of a chocolate egg.
So, whether you’re looking for Easter gift ideas for someone in your family, thinking what you can ask for yourself, or just feel like treating a friend without breaking the bank- here’s my little wish list!
Since becoming a beauty blogger, my lust for beautiful makeup and skincare products is as long as both my arms, but when trying to find an item or two that would equal the cost of an egg (around £10 is what I’m going for), that list is dramatically reduced. Then it comes down to whether or not there’s anything I actually need. I just bought some L’Oreal Skincare products, so my cleansing routine is pretty much sorted, I have all the hair and shower products I need for now, and I’ve just subscribed to Scently so my candle collection will soon be replenished. Okay, so I don’t actually need anything, but there’s still plenty of stuff I want!

Despite loving my new skincare additions from L’Oreal, I am still looking for more products to switch up my cleansing routine and try and quench my dry, thirsty skin! I love the look of the three Body Shop products here- a cleansing oil, cleansing butter and muslin cloth. I think the cleansing butter and muslin cloth would be a great combination to gently cleanse and buff away any dry bits, so I’m keen to try these.
Can a girl ever have too many candles? I don’t think so! My two lovely candles from Primark that I bought last month have sadly reached their end, and despite the fact that my Scently box will be arriving soon (click the link for 20% off!), there’ll always be room for a new Yankee in my collection. I really want to smell this for real, but anything with ‘cake’ or food in general in the title is good enough for me. I adore food-scented candles because they make it smell like I’ve been baking when I haven’t! Zero effort required! This isn’t exactly in the price range of an Easter egg, but I hoped at first there was a smaller jar version (which there isn’t *sad face*).
Soap & Glory… is there anything better than the smell of your beautiful products? I want to start taking better care of my skin in general, not just my face, and this perfect duo of scrub and body butter would make a weekly pampering session so much more enjoyable. As long as I remember not to start eating the sugar scrub…
If it’s bright, fun, good-enough-to-eat (please don’t) treats you’re after, Lush is always on the menu! The Fluffy Egg is the cutest bath bomb ever, and will give me far more (guilt-free) pleasure than a chocolate egg ever will. Whilst it’s true that I rarely have baths (I’m definitely more of a shower girl, because until we got a shower when I was about 12, my only option was a bath so I’ve had more of my fair share!), I want to start setting aside time to chill out and start enjoying them again. The Pop in The Bath bubble bar is so pretty and will make lots of gorgeous bubbles!
I was quite sad to go into Boots and see that Rita Ora’s latest collection of colours for Rimmel has still not been released! They are due to hit stores this month, but exactly when I’m not sure. I absolutely love the range of colours shown on London Beauty Queen, and will definitely be purchasing a few to add to my summer nails collection if they’re not out in time for Easter- the bright teals and oranges would look fab paired with the stunning ‘greige’ colour.
I always look forward to the Easter time of year, because mine and George’s anniversary is on April 13th so I always associate the Easter holidays with the time when we spend some time together or go on a little holiday (take me back to Venice last year *cries*). Also, because I love all the pretty colours and themes of new life and spring that come with it, not to mention all the beautiful Easter egg creations in the window of local tea room and all-round geniuses Betty’s. I’ll be looking forward to my grandma’s chocolate Easter nests, topped with mini eggs, and seeing which of these items I’ll receive from my list!
What are your Easter traditions? Will you be getting something different to a chocolate egg this year? What are your favourites from this list- do you have any of them already?
