Recently, I have actually been starting to enjoy the gym. I know, right? Me from 6 months ago is like WHAAAA?! But since I’ve started going 4-5 times a week, I’ve realised that my fitness wardrobe needs a serious overhaul. I literally have two outfits that I just have to wash after every visit and alternate- this is not acceptable. I finally forked out on some Nike Free 5.0 trainers in the Office sale a couple of weeks ago, and they have been one of my best ever investments (and a steal for only £45!) so I think I need to start as I mean to go on and bring the rest of my gym wardrobe up to date, starting with some fairly inexpensive basics to get the ball rolling. I’ve been trawling some of my favourite sports gear websites, and these are my favourite picks so far. View Full Post
It’s been a while since I wrote a post in my Fitspiration series, but with my first 10k run fast-approaching, I’ve been back in the saddle (or sports bra) to prepare myself for this huge challenge. I can’t believe I have been blogging for over 6 months and have never mentioned anything to do with my taste in music- I love music, and it is a huge part of my life- and it’s time to share my (
slightly very eclectic) playlist with the world. I physically cannot run without music- even when I’m running with someone, talking is just not the one when hurling your sweaty self around. It has to be motivational, and keep me running when I feel like giving up, so without further ado I present my ultimate running playlist! View Full Post
Hope you all had a lovely weekend- mine was very exciting and eventful which I’ll explain in a later post! I wanted to tell you all that I’ve signed up to run my first ever 10k- the Race for Life in Harrogate on Sunday 14th June- to support Cancer Research UK. This will be my third time taking part, but the first time I have ever ran further than 5k in an event! Now it’s all well and good posting my Just Giving page all over social media and asking people to sponsor me, but I wanted to write a post explaining why I am running and why as many people as possible should get involved.
Hope you’re all having a great week so far. Today, I wanted to properly start a new series- Fitspiration! I previously wrote a post on my ideal workout wardrobe here, but I wanted to start writing more posts on fitness as I ease myself back into the crazy world of exercise and healthy living. So, 2015 is well upon us now (Christmas feels an entire lifetime ago!), and now that I’m cutting back to just one day a week at my waitressing job, my evenings will be all freed up for spending time with my favourite people, blogging, and getting back into exercising! Everyone knows that working out is so much more fun when you can do it in gorgeous gear that makes you feel good, as well as giving you the right support for the type of exercise you’re doing.
