It’s so good to be back to blogging, I can’t even tell you how long overdue this return to my blog has been! I have to apologise in advance, because I’m talking about food- again. I’m not gonna lie, these most recent posts are quite old, because I wrote them and then just got stuck in a blogging dilemma where I’d written loads of posts about food and nothing else, so then I just didn’t post any of them until now and it’s about 3 months later *facepalms*. Basically, I’m not worried about that anymore- I want to publish the posts that I’ve written so I can get on with writing new content with a clear conscience. Now, we all know I love food, and when I have something to celebrate it’s the first thing that comes to mind. So when I handed in my final ever university project, obviously a meal out with George was in order! I bought a Groupon deal for Pieminister in Leeds before we went to Dublin in April, because I’d always wanted to go and it was less than £17 for two mains and drinks with the voucher! View Full Post
What’s the best way to celebrate finishing your degree? Unlimited cocktails, delicious food and live music, I hear you say? You would be right. A few months ago (yep, sorry about that) after doing a presentation on my independent project in front of all my tutors, I was officially D.O.N.E with my degree, and feeling pretty awesome. I feel so organised today, because I actually did something, photographed it AND blogged about it all in the same day- what is going on? Oh that’s right, I finished uni a week ago and I’m putting off doing actual housework in favour of baking, blogging and watching YouTube. And you’re lying if you say you haven’t spent all your spare time over the Christmas period doing the same thing (if you’re a fellow blogger, of course). Anyway, enough of the rambling- I am here to save your Christmas. Well, not exactly, but if you haven’t done any baking yet and you’re desperate to get some absolutely dead simple (seriously, an idiot could bake these, which I pretty much am most of the time) but delicious Christmas treats on the table, then read on… View Full Post
Anyone who knows me well will know that there is little that excites me more than afternoon tea. Okay, that may be a bit of an overstatement, as there are many things that make me giddy, but the prospect of cute little cakes, miniature sandwiches and fancy china is just so adorable and colourful that it is definitely one of my favourite activities. When an offer popped up on Living Social to enjoy afternoon tea for a reduced price at the cutest little cupcake emporium in Harrogate, Mama Doreen’s, naturally I jumped at the chance.

It’s that time again- happy June everyone! New month means new recipes to share with you all, and as always I’ve been amazed with the new delights I cooked up in May. Doing these monthly posts makes the months seem so much shorter- it feels like yesterday that I was writing up my recipes for April! View Full Post
