Accessorising my LBD with KryptikRose™

Hello lovelies!

Following on from my Valentine’s Day post yesterday, I’d like to share with you what I wore when me and George went out for drinks on Valentine’s night, featuring some of my favourite accessories including my new iPhone case from London-based apparel brand KryptikRose™!

Every girl’s main accessory is her smartphone nowadays- mine is like an extra arm and I can’t go anywhere without it! I never use my phone without a case because I like to keep it in good condition, but also because I love making a statement with the design on my case. I usually go to Paperchase for my phone cases, but recently they’ve let me down with the quality of the designs and materials. I was thrilled when I was sent this case from KryptikRose™, because my current phone case was getting a bit tatty. I am obsessed with anything mint-coloured (and pastels in general) so this was a case I would have chosen myself in a shop.

The case is a hard plastic one, which I never used to use as I was scared of the impact when dropping my phone, but with decent silicone cases becoming more rare hard cases are much more accessible if you want a huge variety of designs. It fits my phone really nicely- I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and my phone is still nicely protected! I love the aztec patterns on the case, although around the logo it is slightly pixellated. There’s a nice transparent text layer behind the colour which you can see upon looking closely- I was very happy when I noticed this as a graphic design nerd- it adds a bit more depth to the design.

I paired it with this gorgeous, glitzy LBD from Miss Selfridge that I got from the lovely Frankie at Fashion Dough at the Rock On Ruby Blogswap last weekend, as well as my Marc Jacobs watch I bought in New York (discontinued- same style, different colour here) and favourite Daisy Eau de Parfum by Marc Jacobs. I love a good, simple outfit without a lot of complicated accessories, so this kept my look chic and simple. The dress has this beautiful jewelled neckline with a sheer mesh panel at the top, and is a nice short length to show off those legs! (similar shape and length here).

I’ll be using this case for a while now, probably until I can finally upgrade to an iPhone 6 in the summer, and I’m confident it will last and keep my phone looking safe and colourful! There’s a great selection of cases on their website here with loads of varied designs- plus they’re a bargain at only £5!

My other favourite new addition to my wardrobe are these gorgeous pale blue asymmetric court shoes from New Look. I wanted some pastel heels to compliment my dress, and I’m obsessed with anything pastel coloured! These are perfect- the majority of the shoe is a textured faux-leather material, with a small suede panel at the side of the toe. The heel height isn’t too tall for me (I don’t handle stilettos well!) and the pointed toe is so sophisticated- they looked amazing with the dress.

I love my beautiful lilac-jewelled statement necklace, also from New Look (similar here) which I bought for our trip to New York back in December, as the gold colour and pastel tones compliment the shoes so well. This would look fantastic with a plain black or white dress and paired with the shoes, but obviously I didn’t wear them together with this already sparkly dress!

How do you accessorise your LBD? Are you as obsessed with pastels as I am? Have you heard of KryptikRose™ before?
